To those occupying the BBC buildings in Glasgow

We must confess we know few of the details of your occupation, it being so recent, and us being stuck inside ourselves.

However the details are irrelevant; be you few or many, planned or spontaneous, you have our complete solidarity.

Your bravery in taking this to the next level, occupying a building without even the slight protection of being on a university campus, and fighting the appalling stance of the BBC, has warmed our hearts and raised our spirits.

We wish you strength, luck and success in your occupation

Yours in solidarity
The Cambridge Gaza Solidarity Occupation

  1. Cllr. Margaret Wright sends her support to those students occupying the Law Faculty in Cambridge University in solidarity with the oppression of the Palestinian peoples in Gaza.

    She said,

" I congratulate these students for making such constructive and wide-ranging demands of the University of Cambridge ranging from scholarships for Palestinian students to disinvestment from the arms trade.

The Green Party seeks a non-violent solution to the conflict and opposes all those who seek to inflame the situation for political ends. "

  2. I was a technician at bristol university for 15 years and a strong trade unionist and member of the joint unions cttee. I cannot tell you how delighted I am to see students taking radical political action again. Don't let anyone tell you that you have no power. I have been on lots of gaza demos and vigils in the last few weeks. Zionism is about taking land by violence, it is a precedent for carnage.

SOAS sends solidarity from the occupation of BBC Broadcasting house today. Small and short but sharp. No protesters were arrested (in fact the police were weirdly nice).

Well done to all involved in all actions not matter how large or small.
